I research and write about skincare for GlowUpGuides, reading primary studies, checking product claims against published evidence, and tracing recommendations back to their sources. I started doing this because I was tired of seeing confident skincare advice without knowing how carefully anyone had investigated it. I wanted the kind of resource I was always looking for myself: one that shows what the recommendation is based on, makes the evidence visible, and still respects the role of qualified professionals.

I have no clinical or medical credentials, so nothing here depends on my authority; claims should stand on their sources. I speak English and Spanish and have been doing this work for the past few years.
